What is Business Objects in Asp.Net
Business Objects:-
The term ' business object' means different things to different people. business objects are the components in the second layer of your application that provide the extra layer between your code and the data source. They are called business objects because they enforce "business rule".
For Example:-
if you try to submit a purchase order without any items, the appropriate business object would throw and exception and refuse to continue. In this case , no . Net error has occurred instead you have detected the presence of a condition that should not be allowed according to your application logic. business objects also contain data access code. however, for most programmers this extra step is overkill,especially with the increased level of consistency that is provided by ado.net. In an n-tier application the business services layer can encapsulated in various reusable classes, known as business object classes which can be combined to create precomputed components.
Types Of Business Objects:-
- User Interface (UI)-Centric Business Rule Objects:- These objects concentrate on validation of user interface components. for example, you may create a ui-centric business rule object to ensure that a text box is not blank. a ui-centric business rule object may also perform some calculations on the data returned from the database.
- Data-Centric Business Rule Objects:- These objects perform the functions relating to data access such as locating the source of data, sending the necessary commands for retrieving data manipulating data, and business rule objects run faster than ui-centric business rule objects, becoz the latter often depends on the former for completion of data manipulation and integration.
