Asp.Net Configuration:-
Asp.net is managed with XML configuration files. all time information to configure an asp.net application's core setting ,as well as the custom setting specific to user's own application,is stored in these configuration files.
The XML based configuration file some advantage:-
1.XML Files Never Locked:-
The xml based configuration file never locked any other .Net applications.So we are update configuration file on running state.then Asp.net application one by one applications transition into domain in smooth ways.
2. Easily Replicating And Accessible :-
If provide to have the appropriate network right,he can modify a web.configuration files from a remote computer. he can also copy the web.configuration file and use it to apply identical settings to another applications or another web server that runs the same application in a web form scenario.
3.Easy To Edit And Understand:-
The XML based configuration files really readable is human readable contents.so we are use any text editor to understand and edit configuration.basically means does not need any special software for edit and understand configuration.
The Machine.configuration file:-
The machine.config. name files are stored in the directory as C;/window /Microsoft.net/ framework/[version]/config. these files are connected other supported configuration files. Asp.net configure the process to worker and provide to registers.it use for profiles,membership and role based security for example:- Register to Advance features .Asp.net application use many default settings means many parts of application is use default configuration files setting for access and manipulate files.
Asp.Net provide a Machine.config file as well as different web.config file in same project directory. In which use addition setting from web applications.
Web.config files is case-sensitive,like all XML document and starts every setting with lowercase latter.
